Notice of Nondiscrimination: GLSS Title VI and Related Federal and State Non -Discrimination Obligation Complaint Procedure.
TITLE VI NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY STATEMENT
Greater Lynn Senior Services Inc. (GLSS) assures that no person shall, on the basis of race, color, national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance, as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.L. 100.259). Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination based on race, color, and national origin. Related Nondiscrimination Authorities add the protected categories of sex, 23 U.S.C. 324; age, 42 U.S.C. 6101; disability, 29 U.S.C. 790; and income, federal Executive Order 12898. Furthermore, GLSS will make every effort to ensure nondiscrimination in all of its programs and activities, whether they are federally funded or not, and that services and benefits are fairly distributed to all people. GLSS also upholds the Massachusetts Public Accommodation Law, M.G.L. c 272 §§92a, 98, 98a, and the Governor’s Executive Order 526, section 4 which provide that access to programs, services and benefits be provided without regard to religion, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran's status and/or ancestry, along with the bases previously referenced. In addition, GLSS will facilitate meaningful participation in the transportation planning process in a nondiscriminatory manner.

To file a complaint of alleged violation of nondiscrimination obligations, complaint forms and further information may be obtained from GLSS by calling (781) 599-0110. Any such complaint should be in writing, although staff is able to assist individuals who cannot provide a written complaint, and complaints must be filed with GLSS's Chief Compliance Officer within 60 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
